Credit Controller | Leeds
Hybrid | Full-time | Permanent
Beyond Talent is currently supporting a well-established professional services business in Leeds who are looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join their busy Collections team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Credit Control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building relationships and taking ownership of their own ledger.
The Role
- Manage your own portfolio of client accounts and proactively reduce outstanding debt
- Monitor payment terms and identify accounts requiring further action
- Build strong relationships with clients to support effective debt collection
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activity
- Develop an understanding of clients, their businesses and individual payment profiles
- Monitor and work towards agreed KPIs and collection targets
- Provide regular updates and relevant information to the wider Collections team
- Attend meetings with management to discuss outstanding debt and collection activity

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within a Credit Control / Collections environment
- Strong telephone and written communication skills
- Confident negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with financial information
- Comfortable working towards targets and deadlines
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- A proactive, professional and 'can-do' approach
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Someone who enjoys building relationships and working collaboratively as part of a wider team
