Credit Controller | Leeds

Hybrid | Full-time | Permanent

Beyond Talent is currently supporting a well-established professional services business in Leeds who are looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join their busy Collections team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Credit Control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building relationships and taking ownership of their own ledger.

The Role

  • Manage your own portfolio of client accounts and proactively reduce outstanding debt
  • Monitor payment terms and identify accounts requiring further action
  • Build strong relationships with clients to support effective debt collection
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activity
  • Develop an understanding of clients, their businesses and individual payment profiles
  • Monitor and work towards agreed KPIs and collection targets
  • Provide regular updates and relevant information to the wider Collections team
  • Attend meetings with management to discuss outstanding debt and collection activity

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within a Credit Control / Collections environment
  • Strong telephone and written communication skills
  • Confident negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with financial information
  • Comfortable working towards targets and deadlines
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • A proactive, professional and 'can-do' approach
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Someone who enjoys building relationships and working collaboratively as part of a wider team
