Your New Company
An organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on an ongoing temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who can quickly integrate into a busy environment and support the effective management of outstanding debt.
Your New Role
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing a large debt portfolio and ensuring outstanding balances are collected in a timely manner. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will proactively chase overdue payments, resolve account queries and maintain accurate records.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Chasing overdue debt via telephone, email, and written correspondence
- Managing and reducing aged debt balances
- Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
- Negotiating payment arrangements where appropriate
- Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts
- Producing regular reports on outstanding debt
- Maintaining accurate records of all collection activity
- Supporting the wider finance team with accounts receivable processes

This is a fully remote role working 40 hours per week, with flexibility around working hours.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous Credit Control experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume debt ledger
- Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Previous experience chasing council debt would be highly desirable, although this is not essential.
- Immediate availability or a short notice period
