Job Title: Credit Controller
We’re looking for an experienced Credit Controller to take ownership of a portfolio of around 600 active customer accounts. This is a relationship-led, credit control role where you’ll drive consistent cash collection while protecting account relationships, working closely with our Sales and operational teams to resolve queries and keep accounts on track.
You’ll be trusted to spot risk early, influence internally, and prevent debt from escalating.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own an account ledger, driving timely payment and maintaining strong account relationships.
- Monitor ledger performance (DSO, aged debt, dispute volumes) and take proactive action.
- Manage and resolve billing queries/disputes, working across internal teams to remove blockers to payment.
- Process and allocate payments (including card and cheque) accurately.
- Maintain clear, accurate notes and records in CRM/systems.
- Flag risks early and agree practical next steps with internal stakeholders and customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
