Credit Controller – 12 month FTC
Reports to: Credit Control Manager
Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday, 09:30 – 17:30

The Through Transport Club (“TT Club”) is a mutual insurer that writes an annual premium of just under USD 300m globally with a solid AM Best A-minus rating. The TT Club insures most risks along the value chain of shipping containers, covering 80% worldwide containers, 50% worldwide port authorities, transport logistic operators, and container cargo. Thomas Miller acts as managing agents for the TT Club.
Role Objective:
Responsible for the allocation and clearance of aged debt and unallocated cash as well as assisting with the collection of outstanding premiums for the TT Club across the EMEA, Asia Pacific and America’s regions. The Credit Controller will take responsibility for day to day tasks in order to achieve the credit control collection targets set by the management teams.

Main Responsibilities:
- Investigation of received payments from Brokers and Members in order to identify relevant correct premiums to be applied with the payment.
- Work closely with the Underwriting Assistants and Underwriters to resolve issues surrounding unallocated payments in conjunction with working closely with other members of the team.
- Chasing debts by email and recording progress (these debts may be due from brokers or directly insured customers)
- Dealing with both Internal/External queries in a timely manner.
- Make regular payments of brokerage, continuity credits, or any credit refunds required.

System Experience:
- AS400 (desirable)
- Advanced Excel skills
Person Specification:
- Minimum of 2 years credit control experience in the insurance market (desirable).
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Numerate and able to understand complicated debtor balances.
- Good communication skills, polite and friendly.
- Proactive with ideas and initiative.
- Able to work independently.
- Supports colleagues and is a team player.
