Your new company

A market-leading business services company is looking to recruit a high calibre credit controller to join their fast-paced finance team and play a key role in reducing overdue debt and improving cash flow.

Your new role

  • 1 year temporary assignment.
  • Outbound collections calls to customers, handling a very high volume of daily dials to secure immediate payment of outstanding balances.
  • Taking payments over the phone quickly, accurately, and securely while delivering a professional customer experience.
  • Negotiating payment using strong communication skills to meet daily and weekly cash collection targets.
  • Handling inbound calls from customers with questions about payments, arrears, or account issues, resolving queries to encourage prompt settlement.
  • Sending follow-up emails such as statements, reminders, and copy invoices immediately after calls.
  • Agreeing short-term payment plans when needed and ensuring they are followed through.
  • Updating CRM/finance systems in real time with call notes, outcomes, and payment activity.
  • Prioritising accounts based on ageing and risk to maximise collections.
  • Working to KPIs in a fast-moving, target-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Escalating complex cases where appropriate while owning day-to-day collection activity.
  • Balancing firmness with great service to achieve positive outcomes for both the business and the customer.
