Credit Controller
Location: Rochdale
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday - 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Working Pattern: Office Based
Client Details
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join a growing team based in Rochdale.
As a Credit Controller, you will support the day-to-day Credit Control function, helping to ensure outstanding debts are managed effectively and payments are received on time.
Description
The key responsibilities of a Credit Controller will be:
- Assisting with the management of a shared inbox and providing day-to-day support to the Credit Control function.
- Assessing client credit status and ensuring appropriate credit limits are set and maintained.
- Proactively managing overdue accounts and carrying out effective debt recovery procedures.
- Following up with customers regarding outstanding payments and resolving queries where required.
- Building and maintaining positive customer relationships to support timely payment and ongoing business.
- Producing regular reports on receivables, outstanding debts and overdue accounts for senior management.
- Working closely with the wider finance team to support cash flow forecasting and minimise credit risk.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all credit control activity is completed efficiently and in a timely manner.

Profile
A successful Credit Controller will have:
- Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
- A self-motivated and proactive approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also working independently.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
