Cygnet Health Care is one of the UK’s largest independent providers of mental health care. Cygnet is looking to appoint a Credit Controller to join our growing Head Office Finance team based in Kingshill office.

Please note this is a 12 months’ FTC covering Maternity Leave.

Purpose Of The Role

This is a role within the Healthcare Credit Control team as a Credit Controller working on the FT ledger. This role ensures all revenue is collected in a timely fashion on a high volume/high value ledger and dealing with the associated queries that come up.

Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Chasing debt by email and sometimes phone. You will have a set of accounts to chase, and ensure all invoices are chased and paid in accordance with our payment terms.
  • Ensuring overdue debt is kept to a minimum with clear status notes and plan on next steps.
  • Dealing with a high level of complex queries and following the query resolution and escalation process.
  • Raising credit requests in line with the credit note policy in a timely manner.
  • To identify any potential delays or high-risk issues on an account and discussing this with the Senior or Credit Control Manager.
  • To attend weekly 1:1’s with the team manager to go through a debtor review, ensuring the monthly cash targets are being achieved.
  • Good eye for reconciliation and analysis of large groups of data.
  • Building good relationships with customers and ensuring an efficient service is being delivered.
  • Being able to manage and prioritise your workload in a busy environment.
  • Supporting all team members when necessary and during key financial periods.

Experience

  • 2 – 3 years’ experience of credit control is desirable. Also experience of accounts receivable procedures would be beneficial.
  • Working with large data sets, comfortable with manipulating excel spreadsheets.
