Growth Technology, based in Taunton, Somerset, has been formulating and manufacturing high-quality hydroponic nutrients and supplies for over 40 years. The company has a strong global reputation for quality and innovation, offering market-leading products such as CLONEX, IONIC, and Root Riot. In addition to its core hydroponic range, Growth Technology provides “Focus On Plants” products to garden centres, supporting home gardening and allotments. Its products are distributed across Europe and in markets including Chile, India, America, and Russia, creating a dynamic international business environment for team members.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Credit Controller role based in Taunton. The Credit Controller will manage customer accounts, monitor outstanding debts, and ensure timely collection of payments to maintain healthy cash flow. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Setting and reviewing credit limits
- Assessing customer creditworthiness
- Reconciling accounts
- Resolving invoice or payment queries with internal teams and customers

The role also involves:
- Preparing regular reports on debtors and credit exposure
- Recommending actions to reduce overdue balances
- Supporting finance colleagues with month-end processes and audits
The successful candidate will work closely with sales and finance to balance customer relationships with effective credit management.
Qualifications
- Strong credit control and debt collection skills, with experience managing debtors and reducing overdue accounts.
- Must have experience of Sage 200 and Credit Hound
- Knowledge of credit management principles and practices, including assessing credit risk and setting appropriate credit terms.
- Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to analyze account information and payment patterns.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to handle payment discussions and resolve customer queries professionally.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to manage a portfolio of accounts and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience working in a finance or accounts receivable environment.
