About the role
We're looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team at Advanced Supply Chain Group on an 9-12 month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive team within a growing business where your contribution will make a real difference.
You'll benefit from flexible hybrid working, with your office base at our Bradford (BD12) site, conveniently located just off Junction 26 of the M62. In return, you'll receive a competitive salary of £27,500, alongside the opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

At the heart of this role is one clear goal: helping to keep our business moving by ensuring customers pay accurately and on time.
You'll take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, building positive working relationships and becoming a trusted point of contact. Using your communication skills and attention to detail, you'll work proactively to resolve queries, minimise overdue debt, and support healthy cash flow across the business.
No two days are quite the same. One moment you could be allocating customer payments and reconciling accounts, the next you'll be working with colleagues across the business to investigate invoice queries and find solutions. You'll enjoy getting into the detail, resolving issues, and helping to make sure things run smoothly for both our customers and internal teams.
- Building positive relationships with customers and proactively managing outstanding balances.
- Accurately allocating payments and remittances to customer accounts.
- Investigating and resolving payment and invoice queries in partnership with customers and internal teams.
- Following up on overdue accounts and agreeing appropriate actions to secure payment.
- Escalating more complex cases where required and supporting the management of potential financial risk.
- Applying account holds when necessary and helping protect the business from bad debt.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and account information within Sage.
- Contributing to a collaborative Finance team that prides itself on delivering an excellent service.
What we need from you
- Some solid finance experience, ideally gained in a similar role for at least 9 months.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently juggle changing priorities.
- Experience using finance systems, with Sage 200 knowledge being a real bonus.
- A curious and analytical mindset, with the ability to spot patterns, investigate issues, and make sense of the numbers.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to getting things right first time.
- A proactive approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves to support the wider team when needed.
