Credit Controller | 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) | Redhill, Surrey (Hybrid) | £27,000 + up to £350 monthly bonus + benefits

I'm working with a well established B2B business in Redhill to find a Credit Controller to cover a maternity leave on a 12 month fixed term contract. You'll join a close credit control team that hits its targets, with a monthly bonus that pays out and a proper benefits package, even though it's a fixed term role.

The role

You'll own a busy ledger of around 1,500 accounts and speak to customers every day. The business works through a dealer network, so you'll often be handling a three way relationship between the business, the dealer and the end customer. It suits someone who enjoys being on the phone, builds rapport easily and likes to see their debt come down.

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Managing a ledger of circa 1,500 B2B accounts
  • Chasing all outstanding debt every day, with at least 30 outbound calls a day
  • Making preemptive calls in the last week of the month to land cash before month end
  • Resolving queries and keeping credit control processes within SLA
  • Carrying out credit limit reviews when needed
  • Helping the team hit its monthly cash collection and 90+ day targets

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll report into the Credit Manager and join a credit control team of five, part of a wider finance operations function of eleven.

What they're looking for

  • 2 to 3 years in credit control
  • Experience in a high volume environment, ideally with B2B customers
  • A proven track record of hitting collection targets
  • Strong Excel skills
  • A calm, confident manner when resolving queries and chasing debts
  • Good at building relationships internally and externally
  • Organised, with good attention to detail and strong numbers skills

Personality matters here. They want someone bubbly, proactive and target driven, who takes ownership of their ledger, stays calm under pressure and enjoys being part of a team. Most of all, they want someone reliable who shows up and delivers month after month.

The package

  • £27,000 basic salary (12 month fixed term contract)
  • Monthly bonus of up to £350, split between cash collection and 90+ day targets and paid each month you're in the role. The bonus has paid out every month for the past five years and pays in full for most of the year.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Your birthday off
  • Option to buy or sell holiday
  • Vitality private medical insurance once you pass probation, including rewards and discounts with major retailers
  • Simplyhealth cash plan after your first month
  • Pension with 4% employer contribution, matched to your 4%, through salary sacrifice
  • Employee Assistance Programme for you and your family
  • Regular social events
