Your new company Hays have a great temporary job opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join an established organisation in Milton Keynes. If you have experience in this field and can start immediately, we would like to hear from you.

Your new role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional who enjoys building relationships, resolving queries and maintaining strong cash collection performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Chasing outstanding debt via phone, email and customer portals
  • Managing a ledger of customer accounts and reducing overdue balances
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
  • Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
  • Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts
  • Producing aged debt reports and updating collection notes
  • Setting up new customer accounts and conducting credit checks
  • Supporting month-end processes and reporting requirements
  • Raising sales invoices and credit notes where required
  • Monitoring customer payment trends and escalating high-risk accounts

What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate for the role will have recent experience working in a Credit Control position with the attributes below.

  • Previous experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Sales Ledger
  • Confident communicator with a strong telephone manner
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple accounts
  • Good Excel and finance systems knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Available to start immediately
