At Lyreco, we’re about empowering people to create great – and we’re looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with credit control experience who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and working as part of a busy, supportive team.
You’ll take responsibility for an assigned customer account base, working with customers and internal teams to resolve queries, collect overdue balances and help minimise bad debt.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and proactively collecting overdue balances.
- Making outbound contact with customers and working towards agreed targets and KPIs.
- Building positive relationships with customers and understanding any issues preventing payment.
- Working with internal teams to help resolve service or account queries quickly and effectively.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of collection activity.
- Working closely with the Sales team to support effective account management.
- Helping to minimise bad debt and improve collection performance.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is confident communicating with customers and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
You’ll Ideally Have
- Previous credit control experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good negotiation skills and the confidence to have effective conversations with customers.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A positive, self-motivated approach and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- The ability to build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues.

A CICM qualification in Credit Management would be advantageous but is not essential.
