Credit Controller - Retail Industry

About the Role

As a Credit Controller in the retail industry based in Runcorn, you'll play a key role in managing and maintaining the company's credit accounts to ensure smooth financial operations. Your day-to-day will involve liaising with clients, monitoring payments, and resolving any account queries efficiently.

Description

  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and manage overdue invoices.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, credit notes, and account statements.
  • Conduct credit checks and assess potential risks for new and existing clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications.
  • Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure alignment on credit policies.
  • Generate regular reports on debtor balances and collection progress.
  • Implement and improve credit control procedures as needed.

Profile

A successful Credit Controller should have:

  • Experience in credit control or a similar role in the accounting and finance sector.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
