Role: Credit Functional Analyst – Lending / Loans

Location: 100 Liverpool Street, London
Working Pattern: 2–3 days per week in the office
Contract: 6 months

The Lending Business Platforms team is looking for an experienced Functional Analyst to support a major transformation programme focused on digitising and automating the Front Office credit application process.

The existing process is largely manual and unstructured, including manual document uploads and processing of ancillary loan products. The successful candidate will work closely with the project manager and wider Loans team to help define, develop, test and ultimately oversee the new process and technology solution.

The programme is also aligned with a wider Global Credit Transformation programme, including the introduction of AI/agentic processing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

The Functional Analyst will:

  • Work alongside the TDM Project Manager and wider Loans team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the loan origination system, associated processes and the relevant project workstream.
  • Analyse and document current-state and future-state credit and lending processes.
  • Act as a key conduit between the Front Office, Credit, Technology and project teams.
  • Gather, analyse and translate business requirements into clear functional requirements and deliverables.
  • Support the digitisation and automation of the existing manual credit application process.
  • Work through requirements relating to creditworthiness, default/exit processes and loan terms and conditions.
  • Consider regulatory reporting requirements and ensure these are reflected within the solution.
  • Read, interpret and contribute to process flow diagrams and other business/process documentation.
  • Support the transition from requirements and development into testing and implementation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders during the testing phase, helping to identify and resolve issues.
  • Provide ongoing oversight of the process and solution once development has been completed.
  • Ensure requirements and project documentation are maintained throughout the SDLC.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
