Credit Management Assistant
Lithia UK Head Office - Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week
Salary
- Salary of £26,436.80

Based in our Finance Shared Service Centre, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that supports our nationwide network of retailers. With over 140 team members and a focus on continual growth and development, we’re dedicated to offering limitless opportunities for career development.
Responsibilities
- Problem-Solving: You’ll be a natural problem-solver, confident in communicating with internal teams and external customers to ensure queries are resolved quickly and accurately.
- Credit Management: From performing credit checks and handling overdue accounts, to tracking queries and reviewing aged debt reports, your attention to detail and customer service mindset will be key to success in this fast-paced, hybrid role.
- Communication: Managing inbound and outbound communications (via phone, email, and Zendesk) to ensure timely resolution of credit-related queries.
- Discrepancies: Investigating and resolving discrepancies or disputes, collaborating with dealership teams and external customers to identify root causes and drive resolution.
- Documentation: Processing key documentation such as remittances, copy invoices, and statements to support reconciliations and ensure accurate postings.
- Credit Checks: Performing credit checks for new and existing customers, helping mitigate financial risk across the business.
- Month-End Close: Completing tasks that support the month-end close process to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity.
- Compliance: Using third-party portals and internal systems to retrieve documentation and ensure compliance with SOX and audit requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and contributing to projects that enhance team efficiency and service levels.

Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools such as Power BI, Zendesk, or Credit Assist is desirable.
