We’re looking for an experienced Credit Research professional or Investor to join WTW’s global investment team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in credit manager research and portfolio implementation for a diverse global client base, working across both delegated and advisory mandates.

You’ll contribute to investment research, manager selection and portfolio decisions, helping clients navigate complex credit markets and make informed decisions around asset allocation, implementation and investment strategy.

The Role

Clients and Excellence

  • Conduct solution-focused manager due diligence across credit, potentially including LDI, IG credit, emerging market debt and alternative credit such as high yield, loans and securitised credit
  • Shape and deliver broader research agenda in the context of the end solutions being serviced across a global client base
  • Play an active role as a member of the global credit research team and asset class investment committee
  • Participate in regular reviews of the credit model portfolios / multi-manager solutions including proactively recommending asset allocation and/or implementation adjustments. Demonstrate an ability to integrate portfolio construction with consideration of strategic goals and risk management requirements
  • Contribute to thought leadership and messaging to internal and external client audiences
  • Coordinate and liaise with Global Portfolio Management Group and client teams to ensure best ideas are being considered across the organization as appropriate
  • Communicate WTW’s investment philosophy, process, portfolio views and recommendations clearly and professionally – both internally and externally with clients.
  • Encourage a focus on excellence and efficiency across team outputs. Proactively suggest potential improvements to process and delivery

  • Build trusted relationships across global functions, working collaboratively with colleagues in Asset and Manager Research, Portfolio Management, Operations and client teams
  • Manage and mentor junior members of the research team, and actively participate in the knowledge and skills development of others

Financial

  • Source and rate strategies which deliver significant value add for our portfolios and clients
  • Contribute to development of scalable processes to deliver value add manager research efficiently to multiple clients
  • Contribute to client growth and retention as a subject matter expert for existing client relationships as well as prospects
  • Develop and maintain a presence in the marketplace to help maintain WTW’s reputation for high-quality institutional credit research and solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

What you'll bring:

We are looking for candidates who can bring many of the following skills and experiences. We recognise that strong candidates may not meet every criterion and encourage applications from those with relevant experience and a willingness to continue developing in the role

  • High degree of understanding of investment principles across credit and multiple investment management approaches, with a corresponding knowledge of the current manager universe.
  • Experience in researching and/or allocating to credit strategies is required. Experience with LDI, IG Credit and other liquid credit a plus
  • Institutional client facing experience is favourable
  • Understanding of client objectives and practical implementation aspects for institutional asset pools, including at least one of DB, DC, and Wealth
  • Previous experience with people management and team development is desirable
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to delegate effectively, own outcomes, challenge and be challenged
  • Ability to prioritise and make judgements in a timely manner in the knowledge that perfect information is not available
  • Strong communication – be able to justify views and recommendations internally and externally
  • Focus on efficient and scalable delivery, using AI as an appropriate tool within processes wherever possible
