Job Opportunity: Property Credit Manager / Senior Credit Underwriter
Package: £60-70,000 + bonus + benefits
This is a genuine decision-making role with delegated lending authority up to £5m. You’ll be dealing with complex property lending and have real influence across credit decisions, lending policy, risk, and underwriting standards.
Role Overview
The role includes:
- Assessing and approving complex property lending proposals
- Making decisions within delegated authority up to £5m
- BTL, Bridging & Specialist Residential lending
- Reviewing cases outside delegated authority and making recommendations
- Working closely with Origination, Operations, and Risk
- Influencing credit policy and risk appetite
- Supporting underwriting quality, coaching, and mentoring
- First-line risk, controls, and governance
- Supporting audits and risk reviews
- Using MI to identify trends and improve underwriting quality

Key Requirements
I'm looking for someone with:
- Strong technical property credit / underwriting experience
- BTL, Bridging, and/or Specialist Residential experience
- Experience making lending decisions within delegated authority
- Strong understanding of credit policy and risk appetite
- Experience within a regulated lending environment
- Confidence challenging decisions and influencing stakeholders
- Ideally experience around QA, coaching, or underwriting development
