Credit Administration & Planning Officer

An established international bank in the City of London is seeking a Credit Administration & Planning Officer to join its Credit Business Co-ordination team. This is an excellent opportunity for a banking professional with experience in credit administration, credit monitoring, portfolio reporting or credit risk support to develop their career within an internationally connected corporate banking environment. The role offers broad exposure to the bank's credit operations, combining credit application reviews, Credit Committee coordination, portfolio monitoring, management reporting and business planning. Working closely with Front Office, Credit Risk, senior management and international Head Office teams, you will play an important role in supporting the effective administration, monitoring and reporting of the bank's corporate credit portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Administration & Committee Coordination

  • Review corporate credit applications, checking accuracy, completeness and compliance with internal requirements.
  • Liaise with Front Office teams to resolve queries and coordinate amendments to credit submissions.
  • Organise and coordinate Credit Committee meetings, including agendas, documentation, minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Support communication between the London Branch, regional teams and international Head Office on credit-related matters.

Credit Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor credit ratings, portfolio performance, asset movements and credit quality indicators.
  • Maintain and develop databases supporting credit portfolio management, risk monitoring and business performance analysis.
  • Assist with monitoring actual and forecast asset balances, income and credit costs.
  • Prepare management information, portfolio monitoring reports and credit performance analysis for senior management and Head Office.
  • Track portfolio guidelines, credit limits and monitoring requirements established by Head Office.

Business Planning & Project Support

  • Support the development and improvement of credit portfolio monitoring systems, reporting frameworks and risk management processes.
  • Assist with credit business planning, performance forecasting and portfolio analysis.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and international stakeholders on business improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to projects involving regulatory requirements, sustainability-related business initiatives and wider corporate banking development.

Experience & Skills Required

  • At least two years' experience within credit administration, credit ratings monitoring, portfolio management or credit risk support.
  • Understanding of corporate lending processes, credit applications and credit portfolio monitoring.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with an aptitude for working with financial data and statistics.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Access particularly advantageous.
  • Experience preparing management information, reports, spreadsheets or performance analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Front Office teams, senior stakeholders and international colleagues.
  • A-level qualifications or equivalent are preferred.
