About the Role

We're looking for a Credit Risk Analytics Intern to join Hampshire Trust Bank on a 13-month placement.

This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure across Credit Risk Analytics, Risk Reporting, Model Validation and Credit Risk Modelling within a specialist bank. You'll work alongside experienced risk professionals, supporting projects that help drive lending decisions, portfolio management and regulatory reporting.

You'll gain hands-on experience analysing data, producing insight, supporting model validation activities and working with stakeholders across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in analytics, risk, data science or financial services.

Whilst some areas of the role are highly quantitative, we are hiring a cohort with a mix of strengths. We are keen to hear from candidates who can combine analytical capability with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
