About Triple Point

Since 2004, we’ve been bringing investment ideas to life and connecting capital with the right people and opportunities. Today, we manage more than £2.5 billion for a broad range of investors across five key investment strategies: Private Credit, Social Housing, Clean Heat, Energy, and Venture. These strategies underpin the innovative range of investments we offer to both private (retail) and institutional clients.

There are 230+ employees at Triple Point, all committed to leaving the world demonstrably better than we found it. That’s why we’re a certified B Corp, signed up to the Principles for Responsible Investment, and were named a Sunday Times ‘Best Place to Work’ for 2025.

If this high-performing culture sounds like an environment where you would flourish, then read on…

The Function & Team

The Credit & Risk team sits within the Group Risk & Compliance function and provides independent oversight across the Private Credit platform. Partnering with lending and portfolio management teams throughout the lending lifecycle, the team establishes and maintains the governance, frameworks, and oversight that support consistent lending decisions, effective portfolio management, and effective restructuring across all of Private Credit's lending strategies.

Credit & Risk team members work collaboratively across credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring, restructuring, recoveries, and assurance, providing specialist expertise across all of Private Credit's lending strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Audit Director, Credit & Risk, the Assurance Manager is a core member of the Credit Assurance function, acting as Triple Point Lending's second line of defence delivering independent, risk-focused reviews of Relationship Management's oversight of borrower relationships across the credit lifecycle, from drawdown through to repayment or exit.

Review Delivery

  • Plan and execute credit file reviews across the Private Credit book, assessing borrower relationships across six dimensions: Asset Quality; Credit Administration & Management; Covenant Monitoring & Breach Management; Problem Debt Management; Monitoring, Reporting & Governance; and Data Completeness & Accuracy, applying a risk-based sampling approach that prioritises higher-exposure names, complex facilities, and sectors under stress.
  • Conduct thematic reviews on specific credit risk processes (e.g., covenant monitoring effectiveness, MI quality, credit submission standards) across a risk-based sample of the portfolio.
  • Carry out spot-checks between full file reviews, including new business covenant reviews ahead of the first covenant test.
  • Execute triggered reviews in response to material credit events, whistleblowing concerns, or requests from senior stakeholders or the Credit Committee.
  • Use sanctioned AI tools (e.g., Claude) to support review delivery, developing a scalable, sustainable, and repeatable automated process that assists with information synthesis, report preparation, and pattern recognition across portfolio data and identify opportunities to extend AI-enabled ways of working within the Credit Assurance function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
