CREDIT RISK CONSULTANT
Salary: Between £50,000 - £70,000
Working Hours: 5 days a week in-office
Location: London
Harnham are working with a specialist consultancy seeking Credit Risk Modelling Consultants to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for talented modellers with experience across IRB, IFRS 9, or model validation who are looking to accelerate their careers within a high-growth environment.

The Role
You will work on a broad range of credit risk modelling projects across retail lending portfolios, supporting clients with model development, validation, scorecard design, and regulatory modelling initiatives. This role offers significant exposure to client-facing work and the opportunity to own key project deliverables early in your career.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in:
- Developing, testing, calibrating, and documenting credit risk models.
- Supporting IFRS 9, IRB, scorecard development, and model validation projects.
- Working with large datasets using Python and SQL to deliver analytical insights.
- Producing model documentation and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborating with clients to understand portfolios, processes, and modelling requirements.

Skills and Experience
The successful Credit Risk Consultant must have the following skills and experience:
- 3-8 years' experience within credit risk modelling, model validation, analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with IFRS 9, IRB, PD, LGD, scorecards, or model risk management.
- Strong Python programming skills and working knowledge of SQL.
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Finance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Benefits
The successful Credit Risk Consultant will receive a salary up to £70,000.
