Credit Risk & Assurance Manager - Hybrid - London

I’m working with an established specialist lender looking to appoint a Credit Risk & Assurance Manager into its 2nd Line Credit Risk function.

This is a broad, highly visible role sitting at the heart of the lender’s credit risk framework, with exposure across Real Estate lending.

The role will take ownership of Credit Risk Quality Assurance, working closely with senior stakeholders across both the 1st and 2nd Lines to ensure policies are effectively embedded, identify emerging risks and drive improvements across the lending businesses.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Leading 2nd Line Credit Risk Quality Assurance activity across the lending portfolio
  • Reviewing and challenging credit processes, decisions and policy adherence
  • Identifying emerging credit, control and regulatory risks and agreeing appropriate actions with 1st Line teams
  • Producing clear and insightful Credit Risk reporting for senior management and relevant committees
  • Supporting Credit Committee and wider credit governance forums
  • Providing feedback, guidance and targeted training to lending and credit teams
  • Supporting Internal Audit and regulatory information requirements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
