I'm hiring a Credit Manager

For a well-established development finance institution in London. They provide credit enhancement and local currency solutions that unlock private capital for infrastructure in frontier markets across Africa and Asia.

Read this bit first. This role lives or dies on South Asian market knowledge. My client needs someone who has genuinely underwritten project and infrastructure finance transactions in India and the wider South Asia region — who understands the sponsors, the regulatory environment, the offtake and construction risk profile, and what actually goes wrong in these deals. Broad emerging markets exposure without real India / South Asia depth won't get through the process.

The role

You'll sit in the second line within a small, internationally distributed credit team, reporting into a Credit Associate Director. Day to day you'll be:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
