Credit Risk Technology Business Analysis Team Lead

Salary: £120,000 - £140,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in office)


We are supporting a leading global investment bank in the search for a Vice President – Credit Risk Technology Business Analysis Team Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Business Analyst with deep Credit Risk expertise to lead a team of Business Analysts while driving strategic transformation programmes across Credit Risk Technology.

The role combines Business Analysis leadership, Credit Risk subject matter expertise and technology transformation, giving you the opportunity to influence solutions, work closely with senior stakeholders and deliver complex change across a global investment banking environment.

You will act as a key link between Credit Risk, Front Office, Quantitative Analytics and Technology teams, translating complex risk requirements into effective technology solutions and helping shape the future of the bank's Credit Risk capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of Business Analysts supporting Credit Risk Technology initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted Business Analysis partner to senior stakeholders across Credit Risk, Technology, Front Office and Change.
  • Own end-to-end Business Analysis delivery across complex Credit Risk transformation programmes.
  • Lead workshops, requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design and implementation activities.
  • Translate Credit Risk business requirements into clear functional specifications and scalable technology solutions.
  • Support strategic initiatives across Counterparty Credit Risk, exposure management, risk platforms and regulatory change.
  • Define testing approaches, support SIT/UAT activities and ensure successful delivery into production.
  • Work closely with Credit Risk SMEs, Quantitative Analytics teams, developers and technology vendors to deliver effective solutions.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and support to Business Analysts, driving best practice and continuous improvement across the team.

Required Experience:

  • Strong Business Analysis experience within an investment banking environment.
  • Proven experience delivering complex Credit Risk Technology or Risk transformation programmes.
  • Deep understanding of Counterparty Credit Risk and exposure management.
  • Strong knowledge across areas including:
    • Potential Future Exposure (PFE)
    • Expected Positive Exposure (EPE)
    • Credit limits and collateral processes
    • Risk calculations and methodologies
    • Trade lifecycle and risk impacts
  • Strong understanding of investment banking products, including derivatives, FX, credit products and securities financing.
  • Experience working closely with Credit Risk, Front Office, Quantitative Analytics and Technology teams.
  • Strong experience producing business requirements, functional specifications and supporting testing activities.
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing Business Analysts or technology professionals.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with Credit Risk platforms such as FraimWRX, Murex or similar risk engines.
  • Experience supporting risk model implementation, methodology changes or regulatory-driven initiatives.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Experience working with vendor solutions and large-scale technology implementations.
