Location: Manchester Green, M22 5LW
Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office, 2 days working from home
Salary: £30,000–£38,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We’re looking for a Credit Support Officer to join our team in Manchester, supporting the efficient progression of lending transactions from application through to completion.
Working closely with our Underwriters and Credit Sanctioners, as well as customers, brokers, solicitors, valuers and other professional firms, you’ll play an important role in ensuring cases progress smoothly, accurately and in line with our regulatory requirements.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing Customer Due Diligence (CDD), AML, sanctions and identity verification checks.
  • Undertaking broker due diligence and maintaining accurate due diligence records.
  • Instructing and liaising with valuers, solicitors, monitoring surveyors and other professional advisers.
  • Tracking outstanding reports and documentation to keep transactions progressing.
  • Obtaining and reviewing insurance documentation and ensuring lending requirements are met.
  • Preparing loan completion packs and checking completion conditions have been satisfied.
  • Coordinating documentation ahead of drawdown and supporting Underwriters through to completion.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for customers and brokers, providing regular updates and resolving or escalating queries.
  • Maintaining accurate information within CRM and document management systems.
  • Identifying and escalating delays or missing documentation.
  • Supporting continuous process improvement across the team.

What we’re looking for

It is essential that you have:

  • Previous experience working as part of a Credit or Underwriting team.
  • Previous experience within property finance, banking or financial services.
  • An understanding of AML and CDD requirements.
  • Knowledge of loan completion processes.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence communicating with customers, brokers and professional firms.
  • The ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience using CRM and/or document management systems.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.

Desirable

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • Knowledge of Development Finance or Commercial Lending.
  • Experience working with solicitors, valuers or other professional advisers.
