The Crew Coordinator ensures an effective and efficient crew planning in compliance with applicable law and regulations.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Set up, monitor and maintain a short and long term crew planning, to ensure effective and efficient operations and optimal use of available crew
  • Ensure planning and changes are clearly communicated to the fleet and involved personnel
  • Coordinate transport and accommodation if and when required
  • Coordinate recruitment of vessel personnel
  • Ensure new personnel receives the required safety induction when embarking for the first time
  • Ensure required documents (seaman’s book, medical, training) are up to date and arrange renewal if and when required
  • Ensure that personnel data like mutations, illness, timesheets etc., are processed correctly and in time

Experience

A minimum of 2 years as personnel planner, preferably in a maritime organization

Other requirements:

  • Fluently in the language of the designated area, both oral and written
  • Good command of the English language, both oral and written
