We're looking to on-board a new generation of crew members at Thekla as we prepare for a busy freshers and gig season from September. Searching for people passionate about live music and events to join the city's best event team in the centre of Bristol.
About Us
Thekla is a world-famous multi-award winning live music venue and nightclub moored in Bristol's Harbour since 1984, one of the world's only music venues inside a ship. We host hundreds of gigs and club nights each year to over 100,000 customers, and are growing each year as we remain one of Bristol's most popular venues.
About You
Our crew is a tight-knit and efficient crew. We're looking for people who will be able to adapt to fast-paced, customer facing roles across our bar team, street promotions team, and welfare crew. No previous experience is required (though is handy to have), and all training will be provided in a one-day crash course of the venue with our current crew's supervisors and managers.
No two days at Thekla are the same, and our large variety of events means there's always something to keep you excited about work and getting stuck in. From gigs, to clubs, to raves, to full festivals throughout the year - as a member of the crew you'll have plenty to get involved in. Traits that we look for in our crew:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
