Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents and case files for criminal inquires
- Conduct legal research and gather evidence to assist solicitors in building cases
- Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Engage with clients to collect information and provide them with updates regarding their cases
- Attend court hearings and inquiries, taking notes and providing support as needed
- Stay informed about changes and developments in criminal law and relevant legal practices

Requirements

- Law degree or equivalent legal qualifications
- Police Station Accreditation is preferable or willingness to undertake it
- Interest in human rights and working in legal aid is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience as a paralegal or in a related legal support role is preferred
- Strong comprehension of criminal law
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple cases effectively
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Passion for social justice and client advocacy
