The Role

Crime Paralegal - West Midlands - Hybrid Working - Privately funded Crime

A well-established and highly regarded international criminal defence firm is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Crime Paralegal to join their growing and expert team in the Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of serious criminal matters, supporting fee earners on a privately funded caseload.

You will play a key role in preparing cases, liaising with clients, and assisting on matters from police station stage through to trial.

Working within a busy and supportive team, this role offers excellent exposure to high-quality work and a clear pathway for progression within criminal law.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years previous experience within criminal law (Paralegal, Caseworker, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of criminal procedure
  • Confident assisting fee earners with a varied caseload
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and client care abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, reliable, and keen to develop a long-term career in criminal law
  • Willingness to travel across the Midlands as and when required
