About The Role
This permanent Criminal Defence Solicitor role in Manchester offers a salary of £35,000 to £50,000, dependent on experience. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, advising and representing clients throughout the criminal justice process.
Duties include:
- Preparing cases
- Providing clear legal advice
- Attending hearings
- Undertaking advocacy
Applicants should be qualified solicitors with at least three years' post-qualification experience and a proven record of handling their own matters. Strong technical knowledge of criminal law and procedure is essential, along with excellent communication skills. This position provides scope to develop expertise across a broad range of criminal matters while progressing within an established legal practice.

Requirements:
- Applications are welcomed from Criminal Defence Solicitors with 3+ years’ PQE and proven experience managing their own caseload
- Strong technical knowledge of criminal law and procedure, together with excellent advocacy and case management skills
- Confident handling matters independently while managing a busy workload and maintaining high standards of client care
- Excellent communication and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
