The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join an established and busy criminal defence team in Manchester. You will manage your own varied caseload, advising and representing clients throughout the criminal justice process. The role will involve preparing cases, providing clear and effective legal advice, attending hearings and undertaking advocacy, with the opportunity to develop your expertise across a broad range of criminal matters. You will work alongside experienced colleagues within a supportive and professional environment.

The Candidate

Applications are sought from Criminal Defence Solicitors with a minimum of 3 years PQE and proven experience managing their own criminal caseload. You will have strong technical knowledge of criminal law and procedure, together with excellent advocacy, case management and client care skills. The successful candidate will be confident handling matters independently, able to manage a busy workload and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
