Overview
Excellent opportunity for a Criminal Duty Solicitor to join a renowned and expanding crime team, offering high-quality publicly funded work and genuine career development.
- Represent clients detained at police stations and provide advice throughout the criminal justice process.
- Manage a varied caseload covering the full spectrum of criminal offences.
- Conduct advocacy in the Magistrates Court, including summary trials.
- Opportunity to appear in the Crown Court where Higher Rights are held.
- Deliver consistently high-quality legal representation while maintaining excellent standards of client care.

Suitable for qualified Solicitors with a minimum of 1 year's PQE in criminal law.
- Strong interest and experience in publicly funded criminal defence work required.
- Duty Solicitor accreditation is preferred but not essential, with support available to achieve accreditation.
- Strong advocacy, communication, and IT skills are essential.
- Confident using case management systems and able to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision.
- Pragmatic, professional, and positive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and contribute positively to a collaborative team.
