We are looking for a Criminal Litigation Paralegal to join our market-leading team. This is not a traditional process-driven paralegal position. We are seeking someone with outstanding drafting ability, strong legal research skills, and the confidence to become a trusted member of a busy and highly regarded litigation practice.
The role
You will support our Criminal Litigation team on a wide variety of cases, ranging from large and complex investigations to smaller matters requiring responsive, practical support. The team will rely heavily on you, and you will play a key role in helping matters progress efficiently.
The position combines traditional paralegal responsibilities with elements of knowledge and content creation work, making it an excellent opportunity to develop both technical legal skills and broader professional expertise.
While your primary focus will be supporting the General Crime team, there will also be opportunities to assist colleagues across Financial Services and White Collar Crime matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting witness statements, correspondence and case-related documents
- Conducting detailed legal and factual research
- Reviewing, analysing and summarising large volumes of evidence and documentation
- Preparing court bundles and supporting case management activities
- Attending client meetings, conferences with counsel, courts and police stations
- Taking detailed attendance notes and assisting with case preparation
- Liaising with clients, investigators, courts and other parties
- Monitoring legal developments and contributing to internal knowledge and content initiatives
- Providing on-site support for fee earners when required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
