Criminal Solicitor, NQ+, Manchester - Build Your Criminal Law Career with a Highly Regarded Specialist Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified or recently qualified Criminal Solicitor to join a long-standing and highly regarded criminal law firm in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious criminal lawyer looking to develop their experience across a broad spectrum of criminal defence work. You'll join an established specialist team, gaining exposure to matters ranging from lower-level offences through to serious and complex cases, with opportunities to develop your advocacy skills across the Police Station, Magistrates' Court and Crown Court.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced Criminal team, you'll advise and represent clients throughout the criminal justice process, with opportunities available across both Magistrates and Crown Court work.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Managing a varied criminal defence caseload.
- Advising and representing clients at the Police Station.
- Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates' Court and, where appropriate, the Crown Court.
- Handling matters across the full spectrum of criminal defence work, from lower-level offences through to serious and complex cases.
- Providing clear, practical and robust legal advice to clients.

The Candidate
Applications Are Welcomed From Criminal Solicitors Who Can Demonstrate
- Newly Qualified status or above with experience in Criminal Law.
- A strong academic and technical knowledge of criminal law.
- A genuine interest in developing a career within criminal defence.
- Good advocacy and communication skills.
- The ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.
- A commitment to providing excellent client care.
- Police Station Accreditation and/or Duty status would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from NQ Solicitors looking to develop towards accreditation.
- The ambition and enthusiasm to develop their experience across both Magistrates' and Crown Court work.
