Summary
The CRM Audience & Systems - Junior Developer sits within the Audience and Systems function of the CRM team at schuh. The role focuses primarily on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), with a broader responsibility for understanding how CRM and connected systems integrate.
This role supports the CRM Systems and Audience Manager across integrations, automations, and audience selection and development. As the SFMC first point of contact, the role also supports training, troubleshooting, platform maintenance, and innovation. Responsibilities include managing data flows, enabling campaigns through accurate and organised data, and supporting third-party integrations (e.g. Vibes, Skyvia) and connectors across Salesforce tools.
The role aims to improve performance, customer experience, and key KPIs such as revenue, profitability, frequency, AOC, AOV, ARPU, and CLTV, while supporting wider CRM and digital teams in their use of SFMC.
This is primarily an operational role with a need for strategic thinking. It is a key position supporting CRM, Loyalty, Trade emails, and new revenue streams.
Reports to: CRM Systems and Audience Manager
Team: CRM & Loyalty (Digital)
Works closely with: CRM & Loyalty Campaign team, Trade Email team, CRM Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Ecommerce teams
Product Experience and Skills
- Salesforce experience, particularly SFMC; exposure to Loyalty Management and Service Cloud is advantageous
- Able to take ownership of audiences and understand how to maximise reach and customer experience through audience inclusion/exclusion tactics
- Proficient in Excel/Sheets, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office
- SQL and database querying a must have
- HTML and AMPscript
- A/B (MTV) testing
- Audience segmentation and automation
- Data feeds and process monitoring
- Testing and QA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Stakeholder and third-party project management
- Confident presenter
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and numerate
- Able to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Collaborative, proactive, and commercially aware
- Knowledge of fashion/footwear industry (desirable)
- Computer science/ IT related degree highly desirable

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Support delivery of CRM systems, audience, and integration strategy
- Execute hands-on CRM operations with accuracy and efficiency
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Operations
- Build, manage, and optimise segments and audiences for BAU and campaigns
- Configure campaign entry criteria and automations
- Manage data feeds and Advertising Studio audiences
- Test campaign logic prior to release
- Monitor SFMC storage and platform performance
- Set up dynamic campaigns using AMPscript
- Create CloudPages for data capture and projects
- Manage mobile wallet notifications
Support & Optimisation
- Act as first-line SFMC support for users
- Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions
- Deliver training and promote best practices
- Propose process improvements to increase efficiency
- Ensure GDPR compliance across all activity
Campaign & Performance
- Support CRM/email campaigns (e.g. Back in Stock, Wishlist, Abandonment)
- Collaborate with Email Trade team on audience strategy
- Monitor campaign execution and performance, especially during peak periods
- Track engagement and produce weekly/ad hoc reporting
- Analyse trends and provide actionable insights
- Ensure campaigns deploy and track as expected
Development & Innovation
- Deliver SFMC and third-party integrations, development, and innovations
- Support Proof of Concept Trials, performance reviews, and roadmap planning
- Stay updated on marketing technology trends (AI)
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with CRM and wider digital teams to ensure alignment
- Manage agency relationships and act as liaison with third parties
- Communicate plans, progress, and insights to stakeholders
