Equity, Diversity & Inclusion at Pion
Because this part deserves a place at the top of the job ad… Here at Pion, we’re working hard to grow an inclusive, diverse and respectful group of people we’re proud of. Accountability plays a big role in our company values, and we’re totally honest, open and transparent about our ED&I efforts. This is why we’ve made our commitments and internal statistics visible for everyone to see here. Our ever-evolving culture is defined by our people, and it’s all part of #LifeAtPion.
Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet 60% of the requirements, women and those in underrepresented groups tend to only apply when they tick every box. We don’t think you should have to tick every box. We value your uniqueness, and it goes without saying that all applications are welcome, even if you don’t think you fit the criteria.
If you need any adjustments to support you with your application, just drop us an email at talent@wearepion.com.
About the role
As a result of our incredible success and growth, we are looking for a CRM Manager to join us.
Responsibilities Include
- Own and evolve our core lifecycle journeys — onboarding, activation, engagement, basket abandonment, win-back and re-engagement — from strategy through build and optimisation.
- Plan and execute commercial campaign sends, balancing frequency, relevance and commercial priorities against the health of our lifecycle programmes.
- Plan and execute engagement-focused sends, working with the wider marketing teams on content, calendar and social opportunities.
- Own and prioritise the testing roadmap — subject lines, send times, content and journey logic — turning results into concrete recommendations rather than reports.
- Use performance data (opens, clicks, conversion, retention and incrementality) to diagnose underperformance and propose the fix.
- Brief, QA and direct internal resource to extend execution capacity, and build the internal narrative on what is working to make the case for further investment in CRM.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A little bit about you…
- Five or more years hands-on across the full CRM and lifecycle marketing discipline — strategic thinking as well as campaign execution, not one or the other.
- Confident in an ESP or marketing automation platform (Iterable, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo or similar), building and QA-ing your own campaigns and journeys.
- A strong grasp of segmentation, triggers and automation logic.
- Able to read performance data and turn it into a clear next step rather than a report, with a genuine interest in testing and iterating rather than set-and-forget CRM.
- An improver instinct — you see an onboarding flow or a send calendar and immediately spot ways to make it better, then act on it.
- Comfortable briefing and directing internal resource, and confident building buy-in across product, brand, marketing, creative and data. A clear, honest communicator with a self-starter, can-do attitude.
- Bonus points for consumer experience in subscription, membership, loyalty, ecommerce or affiliate-adjacent businesses, familiarity with incrementality or holdout testing, data querying skills, or exposure to advanced personalisation and next-best-action decisioning.
