Scrum Master – Data & Analytics

The Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery with 10–14 years of experience, the ideal candidate brings strong delivery management skills, solid understanding MS dynamics CRM, and the ability to guide engineering and reporting teams through structured, iterative execution. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to resolving delivery impediments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Delivery Leadership

    • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Ensure disciplined sprint execution across ingestion, modeling, and reporting squads.
  • Cross-Functional Program Coordination

    • Drive alignment among architects, data engineers, reporting teams, QA, and business stakeholders.
    • Track milestone progress, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments across the program.
  • Project & Release Management

    • Maintain sprint plans, release schedules, RAID logs, and delivery dashboards.
    • Ensure delivery readiness for each increment, including testing, quality checks, and deployment alignment.

  • Technical Awareness & Support

    • Understand Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Lakehouse layers, and reporting workflows (PowerBI) at a high level.
    • Facilitate discussions on scope, effort, blockers, and technical dependencies with engineering teams.
  • Stakeholder Communication

    • Manage communication with business owners, leadership, and delivery teams on progress and expectations.
    • Conduct structured status updates, escalations, and delivery reviews.
  • Team Enablement & Governance

    • Encourage Agile best practices, collaboration, and continuous improvement within squads.
    • Support documentation consistency, adherence to delivery guidelines, and governance standards.

Must-Have Skills and Experience

  • 10–14 years of project or delivery leadership experience, including 5+ years as Scrum Master.
  • Strong experience managing Agile execution in cloud data engineering or BI/reporting programs.
  • High-level knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, data modeling flows, and Power BI delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong delivery governance experience including planning, tracking, RAID management, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder handling skills across technical and business teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-squad coordination and complex delivery dependencies.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in the Water Utilities domain or operational analytics programs.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps boards, Agile metrics, burn-down tracking, and backlog management.
  • Understanding of data quality processes, testing workflows, and analytics delivery best practices.
  • Certifications such as CSM, PSM I/II, Agile PM, or PMP.
