CRO Designer/Developer

Location: Remote

About Us

Customers Who Click is a boutique CRO agency specialising in e-commerce. We help brands understand their customers and create better experiences, focusing on real growth rather than generic "best practices." We build growth frameworks based on solid research, not just A/B testing, and work to improve every aspect of our clients' businesses.

The Role

We're looking for a CRO Designer/Developer to build the tests, custom sections and page changes that come out of our research. You'll work closely with our CRO Strategists, turning strategy and design into shipped, tested code on our clients' Shopify sites. Development is the core of this role - you'll also be capable of design work, but the priority is someone who can build well and build fast.

Key Responsibilities

Development:

  • Build custom Shopify Liquid sections, theme customisations and bespoke functionality for CRO tests and permanent site changes.
  • Work inside existing, unfamiliar client codebases as often as building from scratch.
  • Use Git for version control across multiple client theme repos.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

A/B Testing:

  • Build and ship A/B and multivariate test variants using tools like Convert, Intelligems and Shoplift.
  • Understand test infrastructure well enough to avoid flash-of-original-content and other implementation issues that compromise test data.

Design:

  • Support the design of landing pages and on-site experiences where needed, working from CRO research and strategy.
  • Judge when a custom build is the right call versus using an existing Shopify app.

AI-Assisted Development:

  • Use AI tools, particularly Claude, to speed up development without compromising code quality - this matters as much as raw experience.

Collaboration:

  • Work directly with CRO Strategists, designers and the wider team to turn research into live, tested changes.
  • Manage your own workload and timelines with minimal oversight - this is a remote, largely self-directed role.
