Are you passionate about producing high-quality vegetable crops and looking for a role where you can make a real impact?

Allpress Farms is based in Cambridgeshire and is one of the UK's leading vegetable growers, producing leeks and onions for major UK retailers. We're looking for an experienced Crop Manager to take ownership of our crop production programme, from planning and establishment through to harvest.

The Role

Working closely with our Farm Management Team, you'll play a key role in delivering healthy, productive crops while driving efficiency, quality and continuous improvement across the farming operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, establishment and management of leek and onion crops.
  • Coordinate planting programmes and manage relationships with plant raisers and agronomy partners.
  • Monitor crop health, nutrition and performance to maximise yield and quality.
  • Forecast crop volumes and harvest readiness to support operational planning.
  • Prioritise harvest programmes to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Manage crop production costs while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Promote sustainable farming practices and maintain high standards of compliance and health & safety.
  • Work collaboratively across farming, technical and operational teams to deliver outstanding results.

About You

You'll have experience managing commercial vegetable crop production, be confident making decisions in the field and enjoy working in a fast-paced, progressive farming business. Strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and practical, hands-on approach are essential. Being BASIS and FACTS qualified is strongly preferred.
