Execution Trader

Overview
We are partnering with a leading investment management firm seeking an Execution Trader to join its London-based trading team. This role offers broad exposure across global markets and investment strategies, working closely with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and Operations teams to ensure efficient trade execution and best-in-class market access.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute trades across equities, ETFs, futures, options, and other listed instruments.
- Manage orders throughout the trade lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers to implement investment decisions and optimize trading outcomes.
- Monitor market conditions, liquidity, and trading costs to achieve best execution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, counterparties, and liquidity providers.
- Utilize trading and analytics platforms to monitor execution quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Support trade allocation, reconciliation, and post-trade processes alongside Operations teams.
- Stay informed on market structure developments, regulatory changes, and execution best practices.

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience within Execution Trading, Sales Trading, or a related buy-side trading function.
- Strong understanding of market structure, liquidity, and execution strategies.
- Experience trading across multiple asset classes is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg EMSX, Tradeweb, Fidessa, FlexTrade, Enfusion, or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with investment teams and external counterparties.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Ideal Candidate
- Previous buy-side experience preferred.
- Strong commercial mindset with a genuine interest in financial markets.
- Comfortable interacting with senior investment professionals.
- Proactive, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
