At Bensons for Beds, we believe great sleep starts with great teamwork. We're looking for a proactive and hands-on XDock & Store Team Leader to lead a team of 7-10 colleagues across our warehouse, delivery, and store operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor who enjoys leading from the front, supporting colleagues, and ensuring exceptional service for our customers.
The Role
As an XDock & Store Team Leader, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our cross-dock warehouse while supporting the wider store and home delivery function. You'll lead a team of colleagues, maintain high operational standards, and work alongside your team to ensure goods are processed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll spend time in the warehouse, support delivery operations when required, and assist on the shop floor during busy periods.
Please note this is a physically demanding position involving the handling of heavy items including mattresses, bed frames, and bedroom furniture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
