Cruise Host (Self-Employed)

European River Cruises | 2027 Season

Do you love meeting people, creating memorable experiences and helping guests make the most of their holiday?

Riviera Travel is looking for warm, engaging and enthusiastic individuals to join our European River Cruise programme as self-employed Cruise Hosts for the 2027 season.

As a Cruise Host, you'll be a visible and welcoming presence onboard, helping guests feel informed, included and cared for throughout their holiday. You'll act as a guest concierge, answer questions, support excursions and transfers, host activities and social events, and help create the friendly atmosphere that makes a Riviera river cruise so special.

No two days are the same. One moment you might be welcoming guests onboard, the next hosting a quiz, supporting an excursion, helping a guest with local recommendations or ensuring everyone feels comfortable and involved in an evening event.

This is a fantastic opportunity for people who enjoy travel, hospitality, customer service and creating exceptional experiences for others.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
