World Wide Technology (WWT) is looking for an experienced SSH + Linux Engineer to own secure SSH access across a large enterprise estate and support the backend infrastructure behind it. The ideal candidate combines strong SSH/Linux engineering skill with automation experience - maintaining discovery tooling, onboarding new privileged access solutions, and driving governance and audit readiness.
Crypto Engineer - SSH
Contract Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote, UK
Key Responsibilities
- Own SSH access, key/certificate handling, and controls.
- Maintain and upgrade SSH discovery tooling.
- Lead onboarding of PrivX for discovery and JIT access.
- Support Linux backend, including PostgreSQL.
- Build Python automation for discovery and reporting.
- Troubleshoot SSH issues and support incident management.

What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong Unix/Linux skills, including bash scripting and service management.
- Deep knowledge of SSH keys, algorithms, and certificates.
- Automation experience (Python, Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and release management.
- Identity and Access Management experience (RBAC, PAM).
- Experience with Service Now, RFC processes, and Advanced Excel.

Desirable:
- Experience in large financial-sector organizations.
- Venafi TPP knowledge for SSH key discovery.
Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract.
