Crypto Researcher Role Overview
This is a commercially accountable position at the core of Crypto Banter’s daily content. You’ll be responsible for shaping discussions, validating trade ideas, and ensuring every output we produce—whether live content or research—is credible, tradable, and high-quality.
As a remote-first role (based anywhere in the world but aligned with South African Standard Time), you’ll need to operate across time zones to stay ahead of 24/7 crypto market developments.
Responsibilities
- Stay Ahead of the Markets
- Monitor crypto markets continuously, tracking emerging narratives before they break
- Prioritise macroeconomic trends and geopolitical risks that could impact crypto markets
- Research outside standard work hours to stay ahead of market-moving developments

Essential Requirements
- Crypto fluency: Must have deep, hands-on expertise in cryptocurrency markets, on chain dynamics, and the crypto industry culture
- Research and analysis: Pinpoint and validate insights using a disciplined, data-driven approach
- Macro awareness: Understand how global economic, geopolitical, or regulatory shifts impact crypto
- Sentiment reading: Analyze social media trends, trading activity, and community opinions to spot market momentum
- Communication: Break down complex research into simple, engaging narratives for a live audience
