CSA QA/QC Engineer

Our client is a leading international main contractor delivering some of Europe's most advanced hyperscale and mission-critical data centre developments. They are seeking an experienced CSA QA/QC Engineer to join the delivery team on a landmark £10bn hyperscale data centre campus in Blyth, North East England.
This flagship development, one of the largest data centre campuses in Europe, will be delivered over the next decade and represents one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing quality assurance and quality control activities across Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) works, ensuring all construction activities meet project specifications, industry standards and client expectations.
Working closely with Construction Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors, design teams and client representatives, you will monitor quality performance, manage inspections and ensure all CSA packages are delivered to the highest standards from construction through to final handover.

- Manage QA/QC activities across all CSA construction packages
- Develop, implement and maintain inspection and test plans (ITPs)
- Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements and quality documentation
- Conduct site inspections and monitor compliance with project requirements
- Ensure materials, workmanship and installation standards meet approved specifications
- Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Manage NCRs, observations, snagging and corrective actions through to close-out
- Maintain quality records, handover documentation and project quality files
- Support subcontractors in achieving project quality objectives
- Review technical submissions, RFIs and construction documentation
- Coordinate quality interfaces between CSA, MEP, commissioning and other project disciplines
- Support audits, progress meetings and project reporting activities
- Promote a strong quality culture across site operations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer within major construction projects
- Strong experience with Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages
- Previous experience delivering hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial or large-scale commercial projects
- Good understanding of construction quality procedures, inspections and testing requirements
- Experience managing ITPs, NCRs, snagging and handover documentation
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and reporting skills
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments
