Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 34,000 people, in over 30 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

About the Role

We are looking for a CSA Senior Cost Consultant to join our Cost & Commercial Management team, supporting the commercial delivery of a major hyperscale data centre programme in the North East.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional with strong post-contract cost management expertise to work on a high-profile, complex capital project. The role will focus on the first phase of data centre delivery and associated campus infrastructure, supporting the commercial management of key Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) work packages from procurement through to final account.

You will work closely with the site-based commercial leadership team, general contractors, supply chain partners and the wider project team to help drive robust commercial outcomes across GMP procurement, FIDIC contract administration, change control, valuations, forecasting and final accounts.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Commercial Director in the commercial management of major CSA capital work packages from procurement to final account
  • Supporting, and where agreed leading, GMP development, negotiation and conversion to agreed package values
  • Preparing and reviewing valuations, payment recommendations and change control with the wider site commercial team
  • Contributing to cost reports, forecasts, CVRs and executive dashboards
  • Supporting the administration of FIDIC contracts and wider commercial governance processes
  • Reviewing tender analysis and recommendation reports prepared by the lead general contractor
  • Helping manage commercial risks, opportunities and contingency
  • Collaborating with design, PMO, construction, procurement and commissioning teams as required
  • Supporting, and where agreed leading, the commercial management of enabling works, civils, piling, structures, steel and architectural packages
  • Supporting, and where agreed leading, final accounts in conjunction with the lead general contractor
  • Working within established financial systems and budgets to track costs, variances and forecasts
  • Supporting compliance with internal risk, governance and commercial assurance processes
  • Analysing commercial data and project documentation to identify key themes, trends and recommendations
  • Providing clear commercial advice to support project decision-making
  • Sharing knowledge and contributing to service improvement and innovation within the wider cost management team
  • Building effective relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting and mentoring more junior colleagues on technical and project delivery matters where appropriate

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
