About The Role

We are seeking a skilled C++ Software Engineer with expertise in C++, Python, and a background in financial markets to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the financial or banking industry, particularly with equities, futures, options, fixed income, and exchange connectivity. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, low-latency trading and connectivity software that supports large transaction volumes across multiple markets worldwide. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, infrastructure specialists, and QA engineers to deliver robust solutions that drive efficiency and reliability in trading operations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for solving complex technical challenges, adhering to modern software development practices, and contributing to a fast-paced, agile environment. Previous experience in critical systems development and a solid understanding of exchange protocols and low latency principles will be highly valued. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in C++ development, particularly with C++ 11 and Boost libraries.
  • Proven experience in networking protocols such as UDP, Multicasting, TCP, and related messaging systems.
  • Strong familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
  • Good understanding of modern software development methodologies, version control systems like Git and GitHub, and Agile workflows.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, including testing frameworks like Pytest.
  • Knowledge of capital markets exchange connectivity, including protocols such as FIX and SBE, especially in stocks, fixed income, and derivatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a drive to address complex technological and trading challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating technical leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, integrate, and document high-performance, low-latency trading and connectivity software components.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and collaborate across departments to ensure project success.
  • Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematics to design innovative solutions for complex problems.
  • Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in internal reviews, code inspections, and system assessments.
  • Tackle the most challenging technical issues, employing creativity and innovation to develop effective solutions.
  • Adhere to and promote industry standards, best practices, and processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for continuous improvement and process enhancements.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of existing systems and the development of new features aligned with business needs.
