Job Overview
We are looking to expand our CT team due to expanding services and have vacancies for experienced and highly skilled Radiographers to join our friendly and forward-thinking Radiology team at our Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Radiographer with proven team leading skills to deepen their CT knowledge, leadership skills, and develop their career.
A new Heatherwood Hospital has been commissioned in Ascot, which opened April 2022. This new build houses a new Radiology department including a GE CT Revolution in the cross sectional suite.
The role will require individuals to cover a range of shifts across all sites, including the provision of night duties, weekend shifts, and extended days.
Main duties of the job
- A senior radiographer post working in the CT Departments across Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals, and Slough Community Diagnostic Centre (opened March 2026)
- Responsible for supporting the CT Lead Radiographer.
- To assist in the training and supervising of the radiographers and RDAs across the 6 CT scanners.
- To ensure equipment is used in a safe and correct manner.
- The post holder will be expected to work at all sites.
- Commitment to shift work over a 7-day period.
- To provide a high quality and efficient radiographic service in CT.
- To maintain the high standards of the department by contributing to individual and team objectives.
- To participate in the departmental out of hours shift system.
- To supervise undergraduate student and Apprentice radiographers and support delivery of the training programme and assessment.
- The post holder will be expected to work at all sites across FHFT North Radiology: Wexham Park Hospital (Slough), Heatherwood Elective Centre (Ascot), St Mark’s (Maidenhead), King Edward VII Hospital (Windsor) and the newly opened Slough CDC at Upton Hospital.
- Commitment to shift work over a 7-day period.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma of the College of Radiographers or Degree equivalent
- HCPC Registration
Desirable criteria
- SOR Accredited I.V. Cannulation Certificate
Experience
Essential criteria
- Cross sectional CT experience
- Experience of post qualification working in CT.
- Wide ranging general radiography experience.
- PACS and EPR Experience
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in the NHS.
- Experience of post qualification working in MRI
Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of Health and Safety issues.
- IT literate and ability to navigate several interlinked digital and IT systems.
- Must communicate effectively at all levels.
- Computer literate.
Desirable criteria
- Awareness of NHS Challenges.
- Aware of CT Service Challenges.
