Exciting Opportunity: Senior Staff Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Staff Nurse within our Community Treatment Care (CTAC) service based in Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership. This role is part of an integrated nursing team model and works within a wider General Practice multidisciplinary team.
Role Details
- Position: Senior Staff Nurse
- Location: Argyll and Bute
- Working Hours: Full-time (36 hours) - Monday to Friday
- Main Base: Lochgilphead (with travel throughout the locality)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in line with the new GP contract terms.
- Become an integral part of the extended Primary Care Team.
- Work collaboratively with GP Practices, Community Nursing colleagues, and a range of Allied Health Professionals to provide excellent, person-centred care to our community.
- Manage a small team and oversee vaccination stock management and the use of PGDs.

Ideal Candidate
- Strong time-management skills.
- Adaptability.
- Genuine passion for holistic patient care.
- Experience in areas such as basic and complex wound care, phlebotomy, ear irrigation, vaccinations, patient observations, and ECGs is desirable. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Additional Information
- Nurse Registrants interested in a career in Primary/Community Care are welcome.
- UK Driving Licence/Car Access is essential.
- Interviews will be conducted in person at Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care Centre.
