2 Year Fixed Term Contract
Our client is an international, corporate organisation, actively involved in the global trading of various commodities such as Metals and Energy products.
The role is to support the Commodity Trading & Risk Management system (CTRM) rollout for the business, by combining Business Analysis and Project Management responsibilities.
Approximately 60% of the role will focus on understanding business requirements, process documentation, and helping users work through testing, data, reporting and go-live activities, while 40% will focus on project planning, coordination, stakeholder management and rollout governance under the direction of the groups IT and Digital Transformation team, while staying close to individual business users across Trading, Risk, Operations, Finance, and vendors, implementation partners to ensure successful delivery and transition to business as usual support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements and Process Understanding (25%)
- Work with users to understand current processes, pain points and business requirements for the CTRM rollout.
- Document requirements in a clear and practical way so they can be reviewed by wider business users, vendors and implementation partners.
- Map key workflows across trade capture, pricing, risk, operations, settlement, finance and reporting where relevant.
Coordination and Stakeholder Management (10%)
- Coordinate vendors and consultants; facilitate workshops and decision tracking.
- Support workshops and discussions between company users, IT and Digital Transformation, vendors and consultants.
- Help clarify requirements where different teams have different ways of working or different expectations.
- Track deliverables, documentation and workshop outputs, and highlight gaps early.
- Support in checking that vendor outputs are complete and ready for business review.
Testing and Business Acceptance (15%):
- Coordinate and support UAT scenarios, scripts, data, defect management, retesting and sign-off readiness.
- Support training logistics, cutover planning, go-live preparation and hypercare arrangements.
- Help ensure issues after go-live are tracked, prioritised and handed over properly to BAU support.

Data, Reporting and Controls (10%):
- Support data migration validation, reporting requirements and operational control reviews.
- Help define reporting needs for trading, risk, operations, finance and management users.
Documentation, Training and Go-live Support (10%)
- Prepare simple process notes, user guides, training inputs and other materials needed for rollout.
- Support user readiness, training, cutover preparation and hypercare issue analysis.
- Help transition recurring questions or issues into BAU support after go-live.
Project Planning and Delivery (20%):
- Prepare and maintain the project plan, timeline, action list, key milestones and status updates for the rollout.
- Keep the project moving by following up on open actions, decisions, risks and dependencies with the right owners.
- Support wider business in preparing project updates, steering materials and simple, clear reporting for management.
Risk, Issue and Change Management (10%):
- Maintain a simple and clear view of key project risks, issues and scope changes.
- Escalate items that need management attention or decisions.
- Support practical solutions where timelines, resources or business requirements are under pressure.
To comply with internal department controls and company policies/procedures. Provide support and cover for team activities as required.
Additional Role Requirements:
- Balancing company business needs with Group governance and standardisation.
- Aligning multiple stakeholders across locations and time zones.
- Delivering testing and go-live activities without disrupting business operations.
- Prioritising requirements, defects and project actions based on business impact.
- Selecting suitable approaches for documenting requirements, process flows and testing evidence.
- Recommending escalation of significant risks, issues and change requests to the business PM.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential:
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrable Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience, ideally gained within commodity trading, metals and minerals, energy trading, financial services, or trading system implementation environments.
- Strong understanding of commodity trading lifecycle processes, with proven experience in business requirements gathering, translating business discussions into clear requirements, process mapping, testing, cutover planning, training, and go-live support.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience of CTRM / ETRM platforms, gained through the implementation, rollout or ongoing support of a commodity or energy trading system.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite, with strong capability in data analysis and business process evaluation.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination skills, with proven experience working effectively with business users, IT teams, vendors, senior management, and operational stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills, with the capability to manage multiple workstreams, follow up on actions, and deliver to deadlines.
- High standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and a practical approach to analysing and resolving complex issues, including working effectively through ambiguity.
- Proven capability to work independently and under pressure while remaining calm, methodical, and recognising when escalation or additional guidance is required.
- Hands-on, proactive approach to problem solving, continuous improvement, testing, training, and business change activities.
- Flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to respond to changing business requirements and project priorities.

Desirable:
- SQL, Power BI or reporting tools.
- Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Implementation experience of Enuit's Entrade CTRM system.
- CTRM implementation experience in the metals sector, such as aluminium and/or copper.
- Understanding of the commodity trading lifecycle and of CTRM / ETRM / ERP environments.
